Radon Gas
Testing
Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that can be trapped in your home. A test during the inspection period gives you the data to act before closing.

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States. It's a colorless, odorless, tasteless gas produced by the natural decay of uranium in soil and rock - and it can seep into any home, regardless of age or construction.
The EPA recommends taking action when radon levels are at or above 4 pCi/L. Testing is the only way to know your home's radon level. We place EPA-approved short-term test devices during the inspection and retrieve them for analysis.
Results are factored into your inspection report. If elevated levels are found, we'll explain mitigation options clearly - typical radon mitigation systems cost $800–$2,500 and are highly effective.
